NYPD investigating gas station armed robbery in Jerome Park

NEW YORK CITY, NY – Detectives with the city’s 52nd police precinct are investigating an armed robbery at a gas station in Jerome Park.

The New York City Police Department responded to a robbery call at a gas station located at 2947 Jerome Avenue on Tuesday at around 1:50 am.

The reported incident involved an unidentified male individual who assaulted a store employee with a can, simulated a firearm, and took an unspecified amount of cash from the register.

The suspect then fled southbound on Jerome Avenue. The employee did not require medical attention. The suspect is described as a male of medium complexion, last seen wearing a black jacket, green camouflage pants, and a backpack.
