NEW YORK, NY – Police in Manhattan are searching for a suspect wanted for three subway slashing incidents on New York’s Upper East Side on Father’s Day. The suspect was wearing a Boston Red Sox hat.
At approximately 4:14 PM, a 19-year-old female exited a southbound #4 train at the 86th Street-Lexington Avenue subway station.
As she ascended the platform stairs towards the mezzanine, an unknown male approached her from behind and slashed her right leg with an unidentified sharp object.
The assailant then targeted a 48-year-old female victim standing on the southbound platform, slashing her right leg as well. The suspect quickly boarded a southbound #4 train and escaped to an unknown location.
Both victims received medical attention at a local hospital for their injuries.
Police later reported another attack twenty minutes later.
The same unidentified male approached a 28-year-old female passenger on a southbound #4 train approaching the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall subway station. The assailant proceeded to slash the victim’s left leg with an unknown sharp object.
After leaving the train at the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall station, the suspect fled through the Chambers Street subway station exit, and his whereabouts remain unknown. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of a severe laceration to her left leg.
The suspect is described as a male with short black hair, brown eyes, standing at around 5’8″ and weighing approximately 220 lbs. At the time of the incidents, he was wearing a white shirt, blue pants, black sneakers, and a black baseball cap with a red letter “B” on the front, a Boston Red Sox hat.
