Police Investigate Early Morning Shooting in Northwest D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place early this morning in Northwest, D.C.

The shooting occurred at approximately 3:06 am in the 1700 block of U Street. The public is urged to be on the lookout for a Black male who was seen wearing a yellow jersey at the time of the incident. Details about the circumstances leading to the incident have not yet been disclosed, and the motive remains unknown.
