Brooklyn Man Arrested for Murder and Weapon Possession

BROOKLYN, NY – Dalair Badine, a 21-year-old male from Brooklyn, was recently arrested and charged with Murder and Criminal Possession of a Machine Gun on Friday.

The arrest was made in connection to an ongoing investigation in the Brooklyn area.

The victim, identified as 24-year-old Nelson Ortiz, was shot twice in the torso in front of 9502 Avenue L on Monday, April 17. The emergency medical services transported Ortiz to the Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The police encourage anyone with information related to this case to come forward.
