Construction Worker Stabbed in New Rochelle, Suspect Arrested

NEW ROCHELLE, NY – A physical dispute among two construction workers escalated to a stabbing in New Rochelle last Thursday. At around 11:06 am, a New Rochelle Police Officer noticed an individual in distress near the intersection of Division Street and Westchester Place. The officer rendered aid and called for an ambulance.

Detectives from the New Rochelle Police Department determined that the victim, whose identity is withheld, had been stabbed during an altercation with a coworker. Taajwar Guerrier, 30, of Brooklyn, NY, was identified as the suspect and taken into custody without further incidents.

Guerrier faces charges of second-degree assault, a Class D felony, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon 4th degree, Class A misdemeanors.
