Hopewell man stable after Sunday morning shooting

HOPEWELL, VA – A man is recuperating from non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting in the 2600 block of Wise Street early Sunday, around 2 a.m.

The man, shot in the ankle, was found at the Tri-Cities hospital, where Hopewell Police officers arrived to question him and then proceeded to the crime scene to gather evidence and speak to potential witnesses.

The Hopewell Criminal Investigations Unit is probing this case and asked anyone with any pertinent information to call them at (804) 541-2284.
