Emotionally Disturbed Person Fires Shots in Penn Township Home

PENN TOWNSHIP, PA – On Saturday, Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department responded to an incident in Penn Township involving a person experiencing an emotional crisis.

During the event, several shots were fired inside the occupied dwelling.

The situation was resolved without further incidents by NLCRPD officers, all of whom were Crisis Intervention Team trained and certified.

The subject was transported to a hospital-based facility for further care. There were no injuries to other occupants or individuals.

A handgun, ammunition, and spent cartridges were recovered from the scene by NLCRPD.
