FREDERICK, MD – The Frederick Police Department is currently conducting an active investigation into a fatal shooting that took place in the early morning hours on Saturday.
The incident occurred in the parking lot near the 100 block of West All Saints Street in Frederick.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers found a male victim who had sustained severe traumatic injuries. Immediate life-saving measures were initiated, and emergency medical services provided aid to the victim. Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced deceased at a later time.
The Major Crimes Unit of the Frederick Police Department is leading the investigation into the incident. Preliminary indications suggest that the shooting was not a random act of violence. The police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or possesses relevant video footage to come forward and provide information.
