NYPD traffic officer charged for strangulation

NEW YORK, NY – A New York City Police Department employee has been charged for strangulation.

On Sunday, at approximately 12:30 PM, an off-duty employee of the New York City Police Department Traffic Enforcement Division, identified as Christopher Quintero, was arrested and charged in Brooklyn.

Quintero, 34, faces charges of strangulation, criminal obstruction of breathing, assault, and harassment.

The circumstances leading to the arrest and the specific details of the alleged incidents have not been disclosed at this time.
