TROY, NY – Troy police are investigating a shooting that resulted in a man’s death in a Lansingburgh store parking lot last Sunday. The call came in at 5:30 p.m., indicating violence outside the Family Dollar store at the corner of 102nd Street and Second Avenue.
After an altercation between two individuals, the victim was treated on the scene by paramedics but later succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital. Although there is a possible suspect, no one is in custody as of Monday.
This incident marks the city’s first homicide of the year. The Troy Police Department continues its investigations into the event.
