Detectives Investigate Silver Spring Homicide

SILVER SPRING, MD – The Major Crimes Division of the Montgomery County Department of Police is investigating a homicide that occurred on Wednesday. Cederic Allen Warner, a 40-year-old resident of Silver Spring, was found suffering from gunshot wounds inside an apartment in the 11500 block of Lockwood Drive.

Despite the life-saving measures provided by responding officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel, Warner was pronounced dead at the scene. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore will conduct an autopsy to officially determine the cause of death.

As this active and ongoing investigation proceeds, anyone with relevant information is asked to contact Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 1-866-455-TIPS (8477). An anonymous tip leading to the arrest of the suspect(s) could yield a reward of up to $10,000.
