NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department has asked for the public’s help in identifying an individual linked to a robbery incident that happened near Transit District 23 on Friday.
The incident took place around 3:20 pm when a 62-year-old man asked an unknown person for directions to the entrance of Resorts World Casino at the Aqueduct-North Conduit Avenue station. The stranger directed the man towards the rear mezzanine area of the station, proceeded to follow him, then allegedly pushed him to the ground, forcibly removed his wallet from his pocket, and fled the scene towards Hawtree Street and down 99 Place towards Albert Road. The victim sustained a minor injury to his right arm and declined medical attention at the scene.
The sought-after individual is described as a male in his 20s with a dark complexion, thin build, and tattoos along his right arm. He was last seen wearing a black du-rag, a light blue face mask, a black t-shirt, black sweatpants, blue socks, grey sneakers, a small black sling bag and carrying a dark blue jacket.
