MARPLE, PA – On Monday, at 4:01 pm, Marple Police were alerted to a robbery and carjacking at Citizens Bank on 1991 S. Sproul Road. Upon reaching the area of Milford Drive and Sundor Circle, the victim was cornered by a vehicle operated by two males identified as Sonny Francis Michelotto and Francis Weiner. The pair demanded the victim’s car keys and, when refused, Weiner displayed a firearm and forced the victim to drive him to a nearby bank to withdraw money.

Police were alerted and apprehended Michelotto and Weiner, recovering a firearm and a spare key to the victim’s car from Weiner’s vehicle. The two men face charges of conspiracy to kidnapping, unlawful restraint, robbery, theft, possessing instruments of a crime, and simple assault. Both were transferred to Delaware County prison after failing to post $250,000 cash bail.
