Glen Burnie, MD – Police have made an arrest after investigating a bank robbery that took place on Saturday at approximately 11:00 a.m. at the Wells Fargo located at 6708 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie.
Upon responding to the incident, officers discovered that two suspects had entered the bank, initially believed to be one male and possibly one female.
However, it was later determined that both suspects were male.
They proceeded to rob at least one teller while brandishing a firearm. The suspects obtained an undisclosed amount of currency before fleeing the scene on foot.
According to witnesses, the suspects then fled on a moped, traveling towards Pennington Avenue on Ordnance Road. Baltimore City police officers intercepted the suspects in the 1500 block of Hanover Street. One of the suspects was apprehended without incident by Baltimore City officers. The second suspect sought refuge in a residence on Hanover Street. After a brief search, law enforcement successfully apprehended the second suspect. During the arrests, authorities were able to recover the stolen currency and other items of evidentiary value. Fortunately, no physical injuries were reported in connection with the robbery or subsequent apprehensions.
Police arrested two Baltimore men, Frank Edward Williams, a 35-year-old, and Bernard Albert Turner, a 44-year-old.
