Man Charged with Attempted Homicide in Harrisburg Shooting

HARRISBURG, PA – On Tuesday evening, Harrisburg police responded to a shooting incident in the area of South 16th and Chestnut streets.

James D. King, 30, was found with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound around 7:30 pm.

After providing emergency medical attention, King was transported to a nearby hospital. The ongoing investigation has since uncovered King’s involvement in the shooting incident.

As of Wednesday, King is being charged with attempted homicide, two counts of aggravated assault, prohibited possession of a firearm, and recklessly endangering another person.

No additional individuals involved in the shooting have been charged.
