Man Fatally Shot In Southeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A man was shot and killed late Friday afternoon in Southeast, D.C. Detectives from the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department are investigating the shooting.

Shortly before 5 pm, officers arrived at the 600 Block of 46th Place to investigate a shooting report. Police found an adult man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was unresponsive at the scene. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The police are actively seeking a suspect and a suspect vehicle in connection with the shooting. Detectives have informed the public to be alert for a man wearing a black mask, blue jeans, and a blue and black shirt, along with a new model Toyota Camry.
