PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, NJ – Police have issued a reminder to residents to lock their vehicles following a series of thefts that took place overnight from Sunday into Monday.

A total of six motor vehicles were reported broken into in various locations including the Hunting Ridge Complex, Troy Hills Village Complex, and Sagamore Road.

During the same period, a vehicle was stolen from a residence on Sagamore Place. The vehicle, left unlocked with the keys inside, was later recovered at the Red Roof Inn on Route 46.

While locking vehicles may not deter all criminal activity, it serves as an essential preventive measure.

Police encourage community members to remain vigilant and to promptly report any suspicious activity.
