SUFFOLK COUNTY, N.Y. – Wilfredo Figueroa, a 29-year-old resident of Ridge, has admitted guilt to charges of First Degree Robbery and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree. District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney announced the admission.

During the early hours of June 22, 2022, Figueroa shot a 27-year-old man in the face during a robbery. The victim, placed in a medically induced coma due to the severity of his injuries, was immediately transported to a local hospital. Figueroa fled the scene following the incident.

Later that day, police stopped Figueroa for a traffic violation. They found him in possession of two illegal loaded handguns, two high-capacity magazines, and personal items belonging to the victim.
