CUMBERLAND COUNTY, PA – Jonah Williamson was sentenced to state prison on Tuesday, for the severe stabbing of his girlfriend back in December 2021. Judge Christylee Peck handed down a sentence of 114 to 228 months (9.5 years to 19 years) following a four-day jury trial held in May.
The case originates from a domestic violence incident at the Rodeway Inn in Wormleysburg on December 17, 2021. During a verbal altercation that turned physical, Williamson grabbed a knife and attacked his girlfriend, causing multiple stab wounds to her neck, arm, and hand.
As a result of the assault, the victim was immediately taken to Holy Spirit Hospital, suffering from extensive injuries to her neck and arm, and loss of feeling in her ring finger.
A Cumberland County jury found Williamson guilty of one count of Aggravated Assault – Causing Serious Bodily Injury and one count of Recklessly Endangering Another Person.
The 2021 attack marks another violent incident in Williamson’s criminal history, which includes a 1996 conviction in New Jersey for manslaughter and two prior convictions for aggravated assault in 2005 and 2009, also in New Jersey.
