NEW YORK CITY, NY – On Saturday, at approximately 12:15 pm, a 26-year-old female victim was assaulted during a robbery in a building near East 27th Street and 3rd Avenue.
The New York City Police Department reported that the unknown individual pulled the victim back into the elevator she was exiting and struck her multiple times in the back of the head with a sock filled with an unknown object.
After the assault, the perpetrator forcibly took $25 from the victim’s purse before fleeing. He was last seen going west on East 27 Street on a bicycle.
The victim was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/ Bellevue by EMS, where she is reported to be in stable condition.
The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the individual responsible for this crime.
