Burlington Man Arrested for Saturday Night Shooting

BURLINGTON, NJ – A shooting incident on Saturday, July 15, has led to the arrest of Crashon Diggs, a 20-year-old resident of Burlington Township.

The Burlington City Police Department was dispatched to the unit block of East Federal St at approximately 11:55 PM following a report of gunshots.

Officers arriving at the scene found that a house had been struck by stray gunfire. It was confirmed that the residence was not the intended target of the shooting. Further investigation at the scene led to the discovery of numerous casings and a handgun.

Diggs was taken into custody on unrelated charges on Saturday. He has been charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, receiving stolen property, and criminal mischief.

Diggs is currently detained at the Burlington County Detention Facility, pending court proceedings.
