EAST EARL TOWNSHIP, PA – Alyson R. Young, a Terre Hill resident, was taken into custody by the East Earl Township Police Department after exhibiting erratic driving behavior on last Friday.

Young has been charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, resisting arrest, driving under the influence, and possession of a controlled substance.

The police department received a call at around 5:30 AM about an erratic driver, leading them to the parking lot of the Shady Maple Smorgasbord.

Evidence suggesting Young was under the influence of a controlled substance was identified. It is reported that Young physically resisted arrest, inflicting minor injuries on the officer.

Upon arrest, Young was found to be in possession of heroin. The charges against Young were filed by MDJ Jonathan Heisse, who set Young’s bail at $50,000. Young, unable to meet the bail amount, was taken to Lancaster County Prison to await further court proceedings. Young is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
