Do You Know Her? Newark Police Seeking to Identify Porch Pirate

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect connected with a package theft that took place on Monday, August 21.

The incident occurred at a residence on Smith Street near Tremont Avenue, where the victim reported the theft of two packages from the front doorstep around 5 p.m. The stolen items contained various perfumes and phone accessories.

Detectives have described the suspect as an older woman who was seen wearing a gray T-shirt with the words “AERO” printed in white on the chest area. To conceal her face, the suspect utilized a large blue umbrella with the words: “ABS PARTNERS REAL ESTATE” printed on it.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of this suspect is urged to contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous tips received through Crime Stoppers are kept confidential and may result in a reward.
