BRONX, NY – A 40-year-old man, identified as Fausto Rodriguez, was found deceased on Friday, following a shooting on the Cross Bronx Expressway near Jerome Avenue.

Around 10:56 p.m., the New York City Police Department received a 911 call and arrived at the scene to find Rodriguez near a vehicle collision. He was transported to Saint Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Further investigation revealed that the incident began as a non-injurious car collision. One of the occupants of the second vehicle fled the scene but returned with another male in a grey Toyota Rav4.

A dispute escalated, resulting in Rodriguez being shot. The Toyota subsequently fled and was later found unoccupied.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is still active. Anyone with information is asked to contact the New York City Police Department.
