Police Seek Suspect in Groping Incident

Brooklyn, NY — The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying an individual involved in a forcible touching incident that took place in Brooklyn’s 62 Precinct.

According to police reports, the incident occurred on Friday, August 4, at approximately 11:02 p.m. A 24-year-old female victim was approached from behind by an unknown individual near the intersection of 71 Street and New Utrecht Avenue. The individual touched the victim’s buttocks without her consent and then fled westbound on New Utrecht Avenue. The victim did not sustain any injuries.

Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish speakers, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
