Two Teens Stabbed at Queens Playground

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is investigating a robbery at a 96th Street Playground.

The incident took place on Saturday, August 26, at approximately 2:20 am at the Junction playground near 34 Avenue and 96 Street.

Two unknown individuals approached a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old victim, demanding property. The suspects then broke a glass beer bottle and stabbed the victims in the chest, head, neck, and hand before fleeing on foot. Both victims were transported to Harlem Hospital Center in stable condition.

The first individual is described as a male with a light complexion, of unknown height, with a slim build, last seen wearing a light-colored t-shirt and white pants.

The second individual is also described as a male with a light complexion, of unknown height, with a slim build, last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black pants, and black and white sneakers.

The New York City Police Department is actively investigating this case and encourages anyone with information to contact them.
