NEW YORK CITY, NY – On Tuesday, the New York City Police Department arrested three individuals in the Bronx for various assault-related charges. A 14-year-old female was charged with assault, a 16-year-old male faces charges of gang assault, assault, and disorderly conduct, and 18-year-old Nashali Torres of 2519 Creston Avenue, Bronx, NY, was charged with attempted assault.
The arrests are part of an ongoing investigation into an assault that occurred at the 161 Street train station. At around 4:00 am on the same day, a 68-year-old male was struck in the face with a glass bottle while on the southbound 4 train platform.
The attack resulted in serious lacerations to the victim’s face and eye. He was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in serious but stable condition.
The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the individual responsible for the assault. The assailant fled the scene and remains at large.
