Man Arrested Following 17-Minute Police Pursuit in Norfolk

NORFOLK, VA – On Wednesday, at around 6:48 p.m., Norfolk Police investigators noticed a stolen vehicle in the 200 block of W. Princess Anne Road.

When they attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver refused to comply, leading to a 17-minute pursuit that ended in Virginia Beach.

The driver, identified as Kimahni Lankford, 23, of Norfolk, was apprehended at 7:05 p.m. after a brief foot chase.

Lankford has been charged with possession of ammunition by a felon, possession of stolen property, and felony eluding.

He is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail without bond. No injuries have been reported in connection with the incident.
