by Charlie Dwyer

BRIDGETON, NJ – On Sunday, Gregrey A. Coombs, 44, and Cleve W. Lewis, 35, both of Seabrook, were sentenced for multiple offenses including murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Coombs received a total of 36 years in New Jersey State prison, while Lewis was sentenced to an aggregate 48 years.

The case dates back to November 6, 2019, when Millville City Police responded to a shooting at an apartment in Delsea Gardens.

The victim, Derrick Harris, was found deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. Surveillance footage led to the identification of a suspect vehicle and two individuals, Coombs and Deontray Gross.

DNA results from a latex glove found in the suspect vehicle implicated Cleve W. Lewis, who was also charged with the homicide. Gross has pled guilty to Conspiracy to Commit Murder and is scheduled to be sentenced on September 22.

The Office of the County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae led the prosecution, and anyone with additional information is asked to contact them at (856) 453-0486.
