Man Fatally Shot in Southeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Detectives from the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department have initiated an investigation into a shooting that resulted in the death of a male victim in Southeast, D.C. on Thursday evening.

Shortly after 9 p.m., officers responded to a report of an unconscious individual at a residence in the 1600 block of 22nd Street, Southeast. Upon their arrival, police discovered an adult male who was unconscious and unresponsive, having sustained a gunshot wound.

The victim, identified as 24-year-old Amar Harris from Southeast, DC, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
