ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – Sherif Ramadan, 39, of Atlantic City, was arrested on October 2, 2023, after being found in City Hall where he had stayed overnight without authorization.

Officers Justin Peyton, Hiram Mercado, and Rusty Bouffard responded to the 1300 block of Bacharach Boulevard at 8:50 AM, following reports of an unauthorized individual inside City Hall. Ramadan was located in an office on the fourth floor and taken into custody without any complications. An active warrant for his arrest was also discovered during the process.

Ramadan had entered City Hall on October 1, at a time when the building was closed to the public. Surveillance footage is currently being reviewed to determine if additional charges will be filed.

Ramadan was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility. It is important to note that charges are merely allegations, and Ramadan is considered innocent until proven guilty.
