WEST CHESTER, PA – A sexual assault case is unfolding as Porfirio Varela, 32, has been arrested following an investigation initiated by the West Chester Police Department.
The investigation commenced after a child victim reported an assault on August 31.
It culminated with charges being filed against Varela, including Aggravated Indecent Assault and Corruption of Minors.
The arrest was executed on September 29.
A preliminary hearing is pending at District Court 15-1-01, as the West Chester Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit further probes into the case.
