Man Attacked on NYC Subway ‘Because You’re Jewish’

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is making a request to the public for assistance in identifying an individual associated with a hate crime assault.

The incident took place on Saturday, October 14, at 11:30 pm, inside the 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue Subway Station’s 7 Train passageway.

A 29-year-old female was suddenly punched in the face by an unidentified male.

When she inquired about the motive behind his action, he replied, “because you are Jewish” and subsequently fled the scene.

The woman sustained minor injuries due to the assault. The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Unit is currently investigating this incident.
