PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking assistance in identifying individuals seen in a video clip.

These individuals are believed to be involved in a looting incident at the Aldi grocery store.

The store is located at 5200 Whitaker Ave.

Last month in Philadelphia, looting incidents transpired following a judicial decision. A judge dismissed charges against a former police officer, Mark Dial, who was involved in the shooting death of 27-year-old Eddie Irizarry, triggering the looting spree on the same day.

Various establishments were targeted, including an Apple Store on Walnut Street, and Footlocker and Lululemon stores near 15th and Chestnut.

The looting led to a heightened police presence and radio calls reporting the incidents around 8:18 p.m.

However, no arrests were made at the time concerning the Apple Store looting incident. Besides material losses, the chaotic event was also marked by violence, with at least 11 people, including two teenagers, being shot in the area where the looting occurred4.

The public is asked not to approach these suspects and to contact 911 immediately if they are spotted.

Individuals with any information can also dial 215.686.TIPS (8477) or send a text tip to the same number.
