DELHI TOWNSHIP, OH – Following a shooting at a shopping complex on Delhi Road, 20-year-old Isaiah Johnson is now in police custody.
The incident occurred late Friday night, less than a day after a fatal shooting at the VIP Smoke Shop within the same complex.
The victim, a 20-year-old woman, was shot in her car around 10:30 p.m. Friday. She was later found a few blocks away on Delhi Road, having sustained a gunshot wound to the chest. Her current condition remains undisclosed.
Earlier in the evening, a vigil was organized for the victim of the previous day’s shooting at the VIP Smoke Shop. An altercation during this gathering led to the subsequent shooting.
After fleeing the scene, Johnson was located by Cincinnati police in a residence on McPherson Avenue. Following a brief standoff, he was arrested without incident by Cincinnati SWAT.
