Elderly Man Assaulted on Grand Street

NEW YORK, NY — An 83-year-old man was violently shoved to the ground by an unidentified male on Saturday, October 14, at approximately 7:53 a.m. in front of 545 Grand Street. The assailant fled the scene on foot, heading eastbound on Grand Street toward Madison Street.

The victim, who initially encountered the suspect when he was bumped into, was taken by EMS to Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital. He is in stable condition with lacerations to his right hand, left knee, and head.

The NYPD describes the sought individual as a male with a dark complexion, approximately 6 feet, 4 inches in height, and 175 lbs., with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt, dark red vest, red scarf, dark blue jeans, and red sneakers.
