Pandemic Police Hires Finally Get Formal Swear-in Ceremony in South River

by Charlie Dwyer

SOUTH RIVER, NJ – Several officers who joined the South River Police Department during the COVID-19 pandemic finally received their formal swearing-in ceremony earlier this week. The event, delayed due to the pandemic, allowed officers to mark the occasion in front of friends and family.

Among those sworn in were Patrolman Brian Presti, Patrolman Nicholas Swineford, and Patrolman Mark Kukoda, who has since been promoted to Detective. Mayor John Krenzel conducted the swearing-in. Additionally, Patrolman Kyle Stevens, Patrolman David Rader, and Patrolman Matthew McCann were also officially inducted, though they were not present in the provided image.

All the officers above have completed the department’s Field Training Program and have been serving the South River community. The department extends a warm and long-delayed welcome to these dedicated individuals.
