PORT JERVIS, NY – Noah James McCagg, a 22-year-old resident of Port Jervis, has been sentenced to a decade behind bars followed by five years of post-release supervision.
This sentence comes as a result of McCagg’s guilty plea to Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.
The arrest was the culmination of a narcotics investigation led by the City of Port Jervis Police and the Orange County Drug Task Force.
On March 25, following a foot chase on Front Street, McCagg was apprehended with a loaded 9mm pistol that was determined to have been produced using a 3-D printer at his Prospect Street residence.
Port Jervis Police also uncovered the 3-D printer suspected to be used in the creation of other similar firearms. These “ghost guns” lack serial numbers, making them difficult to trace and a growing concern in narcotics operations.
