Newark Man Shot and Killed in Maple Heights

MAPLE HEIGHTS, OH- Maple Heights Police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred on the 18700 block of Fairway Avenue around 1 a.m.

Monday. According to police reports, an argument escalated among several individuals inside a house, resulting in gunfire.

Ramon Ross, 38, from Newark, was identified as the deceased victim by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner. He was found dead at the scene.

Another male victim, who suffered head gunshot wounds, managed to exit the house and was found down the street where he received medical assistance.

Visible bullet holes were noted on the home’s siding and front window. The Maple Heights Detective Bureau is actively seeking information related to this incident and can be contacted at (216) 587-9624 or [email protected].
