Brick Man Arrested and Released After Police Find Over 1,000 Images of Children

BRICK TOWNSHIP, NJ — Chief David Forrester of the Brick Township Police Department announced the arrest of Brett Gerundo, 45, from Brick Township, on charges of 2nd degree Endangering the Welfare of Children.

The arrest on November 3, 2023, followed an investigation sparked by a tip regarding Gerundo’s alleged possession of child [censored]ography. Detectives from the Brick Township Police Department and the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High-Tech Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at Gerundo’s residence on October 2, 2023. This operation led to the seizure of twenty-one electronic devices.

Subsequent forensic analysis of these devices by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s High-Tech Crimes Unit uncovered over 1,000 images and videos depicting child [censored]ography.

Gerundo surrendered at the Brick Township Police Headquarters on November 3, 2023, and was subsequently transported to the Ocean County Jail.
