Failure to Appear Warrant Leads to Arrest in Cumberland

CUMBERLAND, MD – Michael Anthony Butler, a 35-year-old resident of Cumberland, was taken into custody by the Cumberland City Police on Tuesday.

The arrest was made on the basis of a Bench Warrant issued by the Allegany County District Court on November 9.

The warrant alleges that Butler failed to appear in court for a prior charge of disorderly conduct.

After his initial court appearance, Butler has been remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center.

The bail is set at $500.
