NEW YORK, NY — A 15-year-old male was arrested on Saturday, November 18, following a stabbing incident in Sara D. Roosevelt Park that left one person dead and another injured. The attack occurred on November 16 at around 8:32 PM near Broome Street and Delancey Street.
Responding to a 911 call, officers from the 5th Precinct found two victims: an unidentified male with a stab wound to his chest and a 24-year-old male suffering from a stab wound to his torso. The unidentified male was transported to NYC Health & Hospitals/Bellevue, where he was pronounced dead. The 24-year-old victim is in stable condition.
The teenager faces charges of murder, attempted murder, attempted assault, and assault. The circumstances leading to the altercation and the motivation behind the attack are under investigation.
