Baltimore Shooting Leaves Man Critically Injured

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – Baltimore Police are investigating a shooting in the Eastern District that left a 43-year-old man critically injured. The incident was initially detected through a ShotSpotter alert on Friday night.

Around 9:17 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Elmley Avenue following the alert. Upon arrival, they found the victim with a gunshot wound. The officers provided first aid until medics arrived and transported the man to a nearby hospital for treatment. His condition is currently reported as critical.

Further investigation indicated that the actual shooting took place in the 3700 block of Lyndale Avenue. Eastern District Shooting detectives have taken over the investigation and are seeking information from the public.
