Absecon Police Report Multiple Vehicle Burglaries, Remind Residents to Be Cautious

by Charlie Dwyer

ABSECON, NJ – The Absecon Police Department is asking residents to be extra vigilant about securing their vehicles during the holiday season due to a significant rise in motor vehicle thefts.

Residents are advised to ensure their vehicles are locked, even when parked in seemingly safe locations such as homes, shopping centers, or public areas.

Additionally, the department warns against leaving vehicles running and unattended, a common practice in cold weather, which increases the risk of theft.

The Police Department also asks the public to report any suspicious activities around vehicles to help prevent these incidents.

This initiative aims to reduce the growing number of vehicle thefts and ensure community safety during the holiday season.
