PHILADELPHIA, PA — An early Wednesday morning shooting on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia resulted in three men being injured and the closure of the highway’s northbound lanes for approximately seven hours.
State police responded to the scene near the Academy Road exit around 2:30 a.m., where they found the victims, including two 25-year-olds from Morrisville, Pennsylvania, and Trenton, New Jersey, and a 29-year-old from Trenton, New Jersey.
The victims’ Chevrolet had multiple bullet holes on the passenger side. The conditions of the victims vary, with one sustaining a graze wound, another in stable condition, and the third critically injured.
No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. The Pennsylvania State Police are actively seeking information from the public to aid their investigation.
The northbound lanes near the Betsy Ross Bridge were reopened around 9:30 a.m.
