HATBORO, PA – Police officers Sgt. Aaron Simon and Officer Robert McMahon saved a 97-year-old man from a fire in Hatboro, Montgomery County. The incident occurred at around 3:30 a.m. on Fairview Avenue. Body cam footage revealed the intense situation as officers entered the burning home.

The fire had fully engulfed the house, with the elderly resident trapped on the second floor. Responding to his cries for help, the officers broke through a back door. Amidst worsening conditions inside the house, they navigated through smoke and flames.

As the situation inside the house deteriorated, the officers persevered. They repeatedly descended the stairs for fresh air before continuing their rescue efforts. Their determination led them to the man struggling on the upper floor. Instructing him to crawl low, they successfully carried him out, ensuring his safety.
