Elmira City Police Investigate Scooter-Related Shooting on West Water Street

ELMIRA, NY – A shooting incident involving a mini-scooter assailant on West Water Street is currently under investigation by the Elmira City Police.

The victim, who was shot during the incident, has been hospitalized and is in stable condition, as reported by Elmira City Police Lieutenant Yuri Charlanow.

According to witnesses, the suspect operated a mini-scooter and fired at the victim while passing by.

Patrolmen collected several pieces of evidence from the scene, including video footage. The police were dispatched following reports of gunshots and an injured person at 209 W. Water St.
