LANCASTER, PA – The Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office is currently reviewing a police-involved shooting that occurred early Wednesday morning.

The incident started at approximately 4:40 a.m. on the 100 block of Hershey Avenue in Lancaster, following a domestic incident report.

Lancaster City Police, responding to the scene, encountered a man armed with a semiautomatic rifle. The man reportedly fired the rifle upon the officers’ arrival and pointed it at them despite multiple orders to disarm.

Body-worn camera footage shows the suspect raising the rifle in a threatening manner, leading to three officers discharging their weapons.

The injured suspect is now in stable condition at a local hospital. The investigation is ongoing, and further details will be released by District Attorney Heather Adams in due course.
