Elderly Woman Killed in Seaford Crash

SEAFORD, DE – The Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred on Sunday afternoon, in Seaford.

The accident involved a 2018 Nissan Versa and a 2014 Honda Odyssey at the intersection of Sussex Highway and Middleford Road.

The Versa, driven by a 74-year-old Seaford woman, ran a red light and collided with the Odyssey. The driver of the Versa was taken to a hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The driver and passengers of the Odyssey sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The collision led to a temporary closure of the roadway for investigation and cleanup. The Delaware State Police Troop 7 Collision Reconstruction Unit is seeking witnesses to the crash and encourages anyone with information to contact them.
