(Reuters) – Levi Strauss & Co CEO Chip Bergh would retire from the company in April, the company said on Thursday.

Bergh has led Levi’s for over a decade and was involved in the company’s return to public markets in 2019.

Michelle Gass, currently the company’s president, will succeed Bergh as CEO effective Jan. 29, completing the transition plan announced in November last year.

Gass is a former CEO of department store Kohl’s and executive at coffee giant Starbucks.
